Master Class: Elements of User Experience

Speaker: Jesse James Garrett Even the most sophisticated and robust systems can fail if users can't -- or won't -- use them. Companies often see the time and money invested in development go to waste because the final result doesn't accurately reflect the needs and expectations of the people who have to use the system. Avoiding this kind of disaster requires grounding your development process in an understanding of user behavior. In this master class, Jesse James Garrett looks at tools and techniques for analyzing, understanding, and solving user experience problems.

Ironically the user experience of this talk is a bit dreadful, good content though, but poor delivery. People have short attention spans and it's your job to keep people engrossed and awake. Look at ted talks and see how much more interesting they are with less content and better delivery.

How ironic that my experience as a user of this video was quite poor. Bad camera work, visual aids not visible, and the audio in the last 20 minutes was intolerable. It's a shame that the great content of this presentation will be overlooked because of these issues leading to poor user experience. I suppose there is a lesson in that as well, though. Doubly ironic?

is there another version of this talk available? Audio issues get pretty bad toward end, plus not being able to see the slide deck simultaneously = 👎🏽

Great presentation, I just wish I could see more of the slideshow and less of the presenter. This is only a preference since I am trying to take notes along with the talk.
