Somebody please tell me you have played a PC game that had Shade as one of the characters to choose as the driver for a car fight.you could shoot napalms and stuff. Unable to recollect much to do an internet search, but I know I used to choose Shade as my player all the time. It's kind of a car fight type PC game in the late 90's I suppose. Pretty please help me with the name.

It's a shame how this guy isn't used more often.

The Shade is really awesome. Especially in The Justice League animated Series. He's super scary in Justice League. I really liked his portrayal in it.

He's goth that's the way I like him

The Shade, one of the few characters Marvel can't copy. He's too unique.
badnewsBH 10 months ago
Well, Marvel did have the Shroud, and he's sorta similar from the look of it.

+dabigdikdangler While I'm glad they retconned his abilities to where that's true now, in the very beginning (like Silver Age I think), he had to have that cane to use his abilities. They used that version here in this series so we wouldn't have a bunch of butthurt people yelling about how the Shade is supposedly OP (compared to the likes of Darkseid and certain others, hell no he isn't. xD).
dabigdikdangler 2 years ago
He doesn't even need it, his powers are internalized.
Q Lawrence 2 years ago
@dabigdikdangler They still showed the thing getting obliterated. I guess it can be re-formed after being destroyed.I don't remember reading anywhere that specifies it can do that though.

The walking stick is supernatural like his powers.

@megamovieman101 A villain of Batman: The Animated Series that almost crushed the mayor of Gotham with clock dials? If I am not mistaken, that is the Clock King.

Exactly

Des this guy has any weakness?
daniel marr 2 years ago
even if i am not a fan of the no cane idea, the shade is still one of my favorite villains along with toyman, killer frosts, and more. is the shade one of your favorites?
Q Lawrence 2 years ago
daniel marr - To be fair, if he still had the cane weakness, he'd be a joke because of how DC revamped everything to be OP pretty much. I agree though: when it _was_ his main weakness, he had to be that much more clever in terms of keeping it from getting taken, lost or damaged. That kept it more interesting when he went up against any other meta-humans, especially the smash-and-bash types like Hawkgirl, Wonderbra and SuperTaint.
daniel marr 2 years ago
Q yay that is right but i like the one with the cane better cause it more interesting.but still one of my favorite dc villains.
Q Lawrence 2 years ago
daniel marr - Yes, in this series and in the beginning of the comics when he was first introduced, Shade had that main weakness. Now though, in the comics, if you kicked the cane away or broke it, he'd look at the cane, look at you, and then tell you, That was extremely rude of you to abuse such a fine piece of ebony or whatever it was made out of.then he'd proceed to wipe the floor with you via shadow-creatures. He no longer needs that cane to focus and call forth his abilities in the main universe now.

Q if you ask me, the shade main weekend is if he lost his cand cause it the cand that controls the shadows. still a awesome villain doe.

who thinks he needs a live action debut ?
C'Jay Prevost 1 month ago
@Q Lawrence The one with the plague doctor mask is Alchemy.
WarFeud :. 1 year ago
He did in The Flash S3 Episode 7. But they used him in a awful way. They rushed him and did not develop him properly.
Q Lawrence 2 years ago
It's why I no longer watch the Flash series. They've fucked up and shat on so many characters it's unreal. When has Shade ever even _thought_ to don a Plague Doctor mask and -- UGH! Fuck that show, and fuck whoever it is that okays all of this stupidly inaccurate horse-crap.
GodSpeedKnight7 2 years ago
Very true and they really nerfed him too.

jamesthewolfclarkson they did him on Flash he was shit in it

Maybe we should get paid now *Luthor stares* I love that moment. Shade is depicted as a pragmatic mercenary with class. Although I suppose his alignment is Neutral.
Evan Kihlstadius 9 months ago
He actually became really good friends with a hero named starman, so he's pretty neutral yeah.
Existential Error 2 years ago
Not sure about the lawful-chaotic axis, but I think he can slide from good to evil depending on the occasion. If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that his comicbook counterpart is actually a hero.?
Q Lawrence 2 years ago
I'd say more Chaotic Good - Chaotic Neutral, honestly.

He's always been a favorite of mine. I don't like the way they portrayed him here though.
Wil Sessions 5 years ago
I really don't like what the did with Shade here. In the comics he's a classy, sophisticated and multilayered character who chooses which side best suits him that moment. He's neither hero nor villain and they went and turned him into a pathetic, moronic, petty thief.
Oscar Johnson 9 months ago
Well technically this is accurate but its mainly accurate to the original Flash comics in which The Shade was a petty thief
Ameri Wryter 11 months ago
@Sire Shade I dont think that count that was him, just a guy with shadow powers they called shade. He never answered to it.

Season 3, Episode 6 named after him.

Wil Sessions 1) he.was on the flash?! WHEN?! 2) his costume is _awful._
Gain boon-long 2 years ago
He's like other awesome villain such as General Grievous, The Penguin, Ra'ah'gul , DarkSeid, Loki and so on.being degraded with no good logical reason.
Lightning Strike Coalition 6 years ago
He looks very different in the comic books.

he reminds me of that batman i think it time master or something in the batman the animated series where the mayor made him late and he got fired from his job then was going to crush the mayor with city clock dials
megamovieman101 6 years ago
if the flash gets a movie, all of flash's villains are awesome (which is rare for a superhero), but my number one choice would be the Shade or Grodd.
