This episode was my introduction to Batman’s origin. Well, I only watched the first half of this episode when I was a kid. But after I saw this video for the first time a few years ago, this was where I found out who killed Batman’s parents, and then I was able to watch the full episode.

Good thing that Joe Chill never told Batman's enemies the Dark Knight's true identity or those villains would've gone after those that Batman cares about.

I love cartoons that are usually cheesy become very serious and actually manage to do drama well.

I didn't see this episode but the best thing would be if he had live in prison for the rest of his life rotting away with the inmates that have a grudge against Batman and if said inmates knew he created Batman, and they kept him in there alive for as long as possible.
MrMeximus 4 months ago
Why the fuck do people hate this show? Does everything in this universe have to be dark and gritty just to appease you Dcfags? Sure it was cheesy but it was a fun series to watch

It’s funny because joker owes his existence to batman

There may be some emotional gain to harm those who caused you great pain, but just know this, it won't bring them back all you can do is move forward from it, otherwise it makes you no better than them

Not a fan of this show, but this scene is goddamn amazing

Joe Chill had coitus with Martha Wayne & was carrying Bruce's bastards twin sibling. Thomas Wayne got the wind of that & wanted to put an end to this sorry affair, but got killed in the process. Bruce Wayne doesn't know this & he is acting out of broken heart.🦇🦉🤔

Easily the darkest episode in this whole series! I could’ve swore this was on Batman: the animated series!

Batman: joe chill. Joe chill: what do you want from me? Batman: you remember thomas and martha wayne, the couple that you shoot down in cold blood? Joe chill: what is the matter to you anyway? Batman: EVERYTHING

For a lighthearted series, this scene was done very well-done. Makes me wonder what a BTAS version would've looked like.

Disappointing that he dies immediately after Batman spares him. Rather makes the mercy irrelevant.

Justice (right path/good path) vs Vengeance (wrong path/bad path). Vengeance will make you something you’re not. Justice makes you being bright. Vengeance hurts your mind and your soul so bad. If Batman murdered the man who killed his parents since his childhood, it’s not gonna bring his parents back.
chimico21 6 months ago
it's so similar to the spider man film
Lilien Calvel 6 months ago
The artwork on this does not do the story justice. I would have liked to have seen this done with the 92 animated series. It had a more serious look to it.
Ludovic Beck 6 months ago
The whole thing is senseless I know that the idea is to showcase the fact that Bruce has the necessary control over himself to spare even the one person who literally poisoned his whole existence. But. Come on now the first thing that guy should yell once near anyone is Bruce Wayne IS FREAKING BATMAN!!! Batman’s identity would have been out forever there on the spot! This story doesn’t get to happen if we (even slightly) want to make it a somewhat realistic encounter.

There was no hope once you started talking in first person. A secret that you gave away so easily. bru. you can’t be so careless and let emotions give it away, I’m pretty sure that’s something you said once.
