Why can’t Batman kill or hire people like dead shot to kill Joker This man

I always wanted to see an Elseworlds where Joe Chill shows remorse/guilt, learns who Batman really is and is actually okay with it, glad that something positive for the world came out of the terrible thing he did

While I know that Batman: Brave and the Bold pays homage and tribute to the gold and silver age of DC comics, The Super Friends Show, and Adam West's Batman, this one of those moments where it got it serious territory like batman the animated series and show no campy fun what so ever. This story of Batman confronting Joe Chill would make a perfect fit for an episode of Batman the animated series or the New Adventures of Batman as a series final episode before The Justice League series. To me I see that fitting Foe someone like Batman to confront his past.

Brave and The Bold created one of the best would-be episodes of B:TAS. I love both of them for very different reasons. Best part of this is how Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were the voices of Phantom Stranger and Specter, respectively.

This should have been the one man Batman killed
The WerewolfF 1 month ago
MadJaster but what makes joe chill deserve to die over say the joker or two face? They have ruined many people’s lives, more than Chill probably. If batman kills joe chill then surely he should kill them too. The only difference is that joe ruined HIS life. Killing him would be selfish and would mean that he would have to start killing all the time in order for it not to be selfish and so he isn’t a hypocrite for sparing his villains. Ideals aren’t ideals if you can pick and choose when to follow them. Killing Chill would have basically destroyed everything that batman was. Batman wouldn’t have been batman anymore. He’d be a selfish murderer no better than anyone else who kills those who wronged them. in Batman’s own words once he crossed that line, he could never go back!

The WerewolfF He ruined his life, sometimes things need to get a little dark. This guy should have been the only death

This was the most light Batman cartoon ever. And i liked it. Its purpose was to be light, funny and to showcase heroes and villains. And it did its job well. To those complaining about the comedy.the comedy in the show is a million times better than what Justice League Action and Teen Titans GO are offering at the moment.

Surely the enemies of Batman would‘ve gotten frightened if they came face to face with the Phantom Stranger & the Spectre right after they killed Joe Chill for telling the rogues that Batman is the son of some of his victims, though Chill never mentioned their names.

Man, one of the most emotionally powerful moments in this entire show. Even had some references to the comics in the line. The fact that even the Villians don't even agree with him is even more crazy! 😦

KookieMan 22 3 months ago
I can live with that and O have eaten a burger without a bun. And I'm not being mean to Mark Hamil. But there are some pretty good Joker voice actors out there. (I say some but really the one that comes to mind that isint Mark is the Joker in Under the Red Hood)
iamemjar 3 months ago
The difference between this show and the comic it was based on was the comic was darker and more violent. Instead of Chill being beaten up by the Joker and the others he ran to his fellow mobsters who, finding out he is responsible for the existence of Batman take their guns and shoot him down. 'Then, when cold sanity returns the thugs all look at each other and say'; Do you realise what we did? We plugged Chill before he could tell us who Batman is. Then Batman intervenes and knocks them all out before they could ask the dying Chill his name. The story ends the same way with the dying Chill reflecting on the irony of it all.

While most of Brave and the Bold paid homage to Silver Age Batman and the Adam West series, this one was certainly more of an homage to stuff like Batman: The Animated Series from the 90s. Especially since Paul Dini was the writer for this episode.
Arnel Andrada 4 months ago
I don’t think they would care about Batman’s identity. To them, he’s the most terrifying individual in the whole world. If his secret gets out, who knows what would happen since Batman seems to always to have a contingency plan, and in their mind, a plan that spells spelled trouble for them, and they wouldn’t be able to recover from that. Hell, they probably even thought that Batman might actually start killing at that time to preserve his secret identity. So attacking the guy who practically created Batman before he gives a name was the easier route to take.

This episode was my introduction to Batman’s origin. Well, I only watched the first half of this episode when I was a kid. But after I saw this video for the first time a few years ago, this was where I found out who killed Batman’s parents, and then I was able to watch the full episode.

Good thing that Joe Chill never told Batman's enemies the Dark Knight's true identity or those villains would've gone after those that Batman cares about.

I didn't see this episode but the best thing would be if he had live in prison for the rest of his life rotting away with the inmates that have a grudge against Batman and if said inmates knew he created Batman, and they kept him in there alive for as long as possible.

Justice (right path/good path) vs Vengeance (wrong path/bad path). Vengeance will make you something you’re not. Justice makes you being bright. Vengeance hurts your mind and your soul so bad. If Batman murdered the man who killed his parents since his childhood, it’s not gonna bring his parents back.

The artwork on this does not do the story justice. I would have liked to have seen this done with the 92 animated series. It had a more serious look to it.
Ludovic Beck 11 months ago
The whole thing is senseless I know that the idea is to showcase the fact that Bruce has the necessary control over himself to spare even the one person who literally poisoned his whole existence. But. Come on now the first thing that guy should yell once near anyone is Bruce Wayne IS FREAKING BATMAN!!! Batman’s identity would have been out forever there on the spot! This story doesn’t get to happen if we (even slightly) want to make it a somewhat realistic encounter.
