I don't care and I'm a San Francisco native Barry Lamar bonds is by far and you might say tainted but as far as ball to bat 147 games 232 walks all of baseball was scared the most dominate hitter of the past 30 years no one close!

if bonds played half his games in that park like ruth did, he would have had 1300 home runs..

bonds in statcast might have broken judges or stantons it might have been 120mph off his bat
A cat is fine too... 15 days ago
Bonds one of the few guys that everyone cheered for when he homered, regardless of team allegiance.

If you like this and you haven't seen Bonds at-bat vs Eric Gagne, search for bonds gagne now. How the fuck he did what he did (no spoilers) is fucking nuts.
phosgene2 11 days ago
yup, even at around 40 he could turn on a 100mph fastball and pull it.

I don’t understand how they, “measure,” home runs like that. It seems to me that if the stands weren’t there that ball would have gone 1000 feet.

0:55. Bonds knew how to showboat without it being obvious. The GOAT!!!

Beautiful swing. Its like looking at Tiger Woods swing.

If steroids is the reason for his success like you guys say. Why didn't other players who actually did get caught ever achieve what Bonds did????? You ever ask yourself that?
Redwingsfan 1 month ago
Every fan going to a Bonds road game: “I hope my team wins 5-3 and the Giants runs are all 500 foot Bonds homers.”

If this ball was truly estimated at 430 feet by an expert, what was the exit velocity of this blast?

I miss Bob Sheppard. He is the Voice of God. I just remember going to the old Yankee Stadium and hearing him echo through the stadium. It just reminded you of the rich history in that ballpark. For those who never had a chance to experience Bob Sheppard and the old Yankee Stadium, I am truly sorry. That was one of the greatest experiences you could have at a baseball game. Watching this clip gave me goosebumps. Rest In Peace to Bob Sheppard as well as Yankee Stadium.

Put the steroid issue to one side. Barry Bonds was the modern day version of The Natural . He could do whatever he wanted with any type of pitch. Opposition teams pitched him as carefully as anyone could be pitched and he was still better. Controversy aside , maybe the best ever.

At 0:53, when you have the Bronx faithful rise out of their seats in awe like this, you know you've done something special. Steroids or not, one thing that it can't do for you is teach you how to hit! With that being said, Bonds was one of THE best hitters i've ever seen!

The steroids issue is a joke. Guys have been cheating in sports, one form or another, since the Greek Olympics nearly 3,000 years ago. These guys were incredible athletes. Plus, how do we know who cheated and who did not? Am I to simply believe on good faith that Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera are clean because they never failed a test? We will never know. Barry belongs in the HOF. Along with AROD, Clemens, Sosa, etc. Let's stop the nonsense.

Most folks fail to even understand that, in reality, Barry Bonds never tested positive for PED's during his playing days. Furthermore, it was only after 2004 that MLB even had a ban on PED use. So to hold individual players accountable, instead the entire MLB during that era is ridiculous. Teams shattered attendance records and generated record revenues and profit, knowing full well what players were doing. Hell, during the race for 62 with McGwire and Sosa, there were post game interview where what McGwire was using being clearly visible in his locker. For me, I feel that one shouldn't vilify any player for actions that wasn't considered illegal at that time it happened.

larry davis 10 months ago
Had Bonds not been filled with steroids the ball would have landed in the bottom deck. Mickey Mantle not on Steroids hit a baseball striking the facade over more towards right center that bounced back at least 170 ft.

drug cheat i don't respect cheaters once you cheat you have no place in the HOF. there's no excuse for it period everyone else works their ass off and you have to get the advantage bc your lazy to workout and earn your way to the top FOH Bonds.
Rocky Hemingway 4 months ago
Wrong he took roids after he was already a hof statistically. He was mad that McGuire and Sosa and everyone else was roiding to get an advantage, so he started too. Lazyness had nothing to do with it.

Bonds is the babe Ruth of the steroid era. He is worthy of the Babe’s company because NO ONE hit the ball as consistently hard as Bonds. A truly talented athlete.

WOW! Thank you interleague for that! I remember being in philly during the all star game homerun hitting contest and he and McGwire (not a hof’er in my opinion) were launching shots like that one. I don’t care what anyone says he was amazing.
