I have ADD and epilepsy and after watching this I'm glad

cool idea i think as a jig set up to do bends visually and then bend pipe to match specially with costly titanium/stainless but to do it and use it as an actual system to me is kind of a swingin the rooster approach to an exhaust
psy06 1 month ago
why the people build bikes that look so uncomfortable to ride, yea they look cool and shit but damn
Flux Apex Engineering 1 month ago
One thing i am genuinely curious about is the flow characteristics of this new method compared to traditional. Do you have access to a flow bench to compare your old piping to the new style. All of the sections make me think that the sharp edges may create some sort of turbulence. Who knows, they might even help the flow.

I dig short pipes (with baffles) but the position of these pipes are horrible. right underneath the pegs where your foot will be? Yikes!

Nice looking bike and good looking pipes with great sound.

Any time you saved in mockup you lost when welding around all those little rings. Gees how long did that take?
Jason Morris 2 months ago
Ok but reality check. Exhaust gets hott as f&$k. Now that being said how did it effect the air quality to combustion??
Blain Hawkins 2 months ago
i play guitar,so from a guitarist point of view, its common sense.fatter the string the thicker the sound, smaller the string thinner the sound.so having said that.the thicker the metal the fatter the sound, thinner the pipe gives a more high pitched galss pack sound
PIPER DOUG 2 months ago
The chances of Lawrence Desmedt ever using these? once and only when he didn't have to pay for them, lol.
Dirty knuckle greasy finger 2 months ago
Guess Jesse forgot about some us work for a living, why would I pay that! The point of building your own or for someone is so can save a lil money you just as well buy cookie cutter pipes for that kind of money and call it a day!
Thomas Dabronzo 3 months ago
Why the F wouldn't you just buy a set of pipes this is ridiculous
Jason Gibbs 3 months ago
Fuckn game changer. why didn't I think of this.

Instant dislike, why dont you throw money into a college fund for your children as opposed to just wasting money?!?!? You could have made them from scratch just as easily. And a lot cheaper.
Squirrely Nations 5 months ago
That would work great for a high roller.

Who builds those frames? I’m looking for a nice drop seat chopper frame.
michael thomas 6 months ago
I can see them saving a lot of time and being easier to use for the beginner. And that is part of fabricating knowing your options but they still look crooked to me. Nice vid as always and thanks for the ideas nice to have options.

20$ a piece :O

Very nice, but at $20 each not many can afford them. :(

These seem like a pointless product. The main reason you opt for pie cuts is to decrease the radius of a bend when a standard bend won't work. If they're only offered in one size you've lost half the versatility of a pie cut to begin with. At least with this design you can twist them to change the compound direction but no chance of an elliptical shaped bend.

way way way to expensive

Looks like cheapo flex pipe.

nice build! looks and sounds great ! is that your white Yukon on the video like wheels and tire setup could you tell me what setup your running?
james bare 8 months ago
That’s about the stupidest exhaust of ever seen 😎
Adam Hanbidge 8 months ago
It looks like the flex vent on the back of my clothes dryer. And that kit only set me back about $15. No disrespect intended to the quality of your work.
paraunasahb 8 months ago
What's the name of the bike uses in the video.i really like the position of the footrests.
buildthings79 8 months ago
So after you fab it up with those things. Take that pipe profile to a mandrel bending shop and have it done properly in seamless pipe so there is no edges to create turbulence inside the pipe which WILL happen with all those pieces. This is how a backyard hack makes an exhaust. If youve never had a formal education in pneumatics and hydraulics then you wouldn't know how bad a little edge or angle in a pipe adds turbulence to the flow.
William Preston 8 months ago
These are Titanium? Right? I think everyone is assuming it is stainless steel. But if you look at it being $20 a piece for Titanium it is a little easier to justify the cost.
MrStacy1974 8 months ago
@tfs. did you ever rebuild your Mighty Max after the accident? That was a badass build.
MrStacy1974 8 months ago
The Fabrication Series that sucks, I was following the build at the time because my Courier used a similar spindle. Not ro mention my intention to out right plagiarise. lol
The Fabrication Series 8 months ago
MrStacy1974 Nope. The person I was in the accident with was not insured so my only choice to recover loss was to part out and scrap. It was sad to see it go, but I can always build another.

Patrick Mascornick 9 months ago
I can see the time saved but the cost of just too high for most home guys.
Bryan St.Martin 9 months ago
What has been overlooked is the pipe length. For optimal performance they must be of equal length, and approximate the cylinder volume.
The Fabrication Series 9 months ago
Bryan St.Martin Optimal is the operative word. Optimal is a point of view from the builder's perspective.

destro513 9 months ago
At 1200 bucks for 60 pieces they would be best invested for mock up. Just imagine gow much a gt40 style bundle of snakes set of pipes would be and then att say 40 oz times 8 pipes.
Rabin Pigg 9 months ago
You save time building it then spend way too much time welding all those seams
Mik Szekely 9 months ago
Well done great Fab for a sexy ass bike
Scooter Tramp 9 months ago
This is a joke right? Just go an get a bunch of mandrel bend elbows and go from there. Far less welding and a finished look instead of piecemeal.
Arne Meyer 9 months ago
Sorry I didn´t get the point.the ex you put off looked better than the picy one you build 4 us.jessy J do ore not. I got my pipes from old milkfarmtubes.and i am no real builder. Greatings from Hamburg germany.

I like the way this tube was welded with absolutely no back purging. What is this amateur hour ?
Kirsty Sinclair 9 months ago
The Fabrication Series only if you promise to stop tig welding exhaust systems. Douche
The Fabrication Series 9 months ago
You said you did. Troll someone else.
Kirsty Sinclair 9 months ago
The Fabrication Series yeah , like I said I did skip through the video. Don’t get angry with me because your welds look like crap though. Maybe if you weren’t poking your tungsten out so far you wouldn’t get the wandering or whatever is causing the bad finish. But whatever.
The Fabrication Series 9 months ago
So you just felt like trolling the comments? There's one spot where I pulled the purge plug on the last couple welds, but I'm quite certain I explained everything about purging and everything behind it. I'm also very sure I hooked up the lines, plugs, and turned the bottle on too. Did you miss those parts?
Kirsty Sinclair 9 months ago
The Fabrication Series I did to be honest.
G'nad Fly 9 months ago
Cool video. Hey Justin, what size cup are you using in the final weld-up? Does that cup size afford one to use such a gigantic stick-out? Thanks man.

Question do rollcage tubing needs to be purged if i am Working with tig ? Its stainless steel aisi 430
Sturgil Simpson 2 months ago
You have no business building a cage if you don't know that answer. All stainless has to be purged and you don't use stainless for cages. Its either 4130 or mild steel, if your cheap.
Duke Craig 9 months ago
That short, non stepped and wide open, mid range power killers, but as long as there's people who don't know any better and think that cause it's louder it's running faster there'll always be someone making a fortune.

BULLSHIT!
Jim Zivny 9 months ago
Looks like a great piece but really expensive, far out of reach for everyone except millionaires. I wonder how the cast would hold up coming off of a turbo after a few years use? If it can tolerate the abuse short runs would make sense.

Scott Bott 9 months ago
What's the point? You can just pipes that look like that. Hmmm
thunder god 9 months ago
Why not just buy the plastic snap together pie cuts there reusable there cheap snap them shape them then messure cut your pipe bend it done.
The Fabrication Series 9 months ago
thunder god Because you wouldn't have pie cuts is you use bends. The point of pie cuts is to keep them pie cuts. It the end user wants bends, they'll use bends instead.

if 3 pounds is much depends on the application i guess. on a chopper it wont make a difference because the whole thing is just heavy as hell
tat2dlukydevl 9 months ago
Good Idea, but fails on looks and price.
The Carfarmer 9 months ago
I have always thought this 'pie cut' and 'lobster cut' stuff looks like somebody was too ghetto to buy proper fuckin' mandrel bends. The only reason I could see for this product is to mock up - so you can cut some bends to the correct angles.
rogerwalsberg 9 months ago
Another open header on the road. Get a ticket in a car..hate those bikes.
Nec Ozzi 9 months ago
I think it would of looked better without that straight pipe section, you should of used all shogun pieces. Then it would of looked like artwork.
Jarno Saarinen 9 months ago
I don't like the divot on one side looks ugly and at 1 ounce per every 1/2 inch of pipe they are way to heavy!
David Thomspson 9 months ago
I think it looks hideous.Thats why they make piping ells and mandrel bent tubing. But whatever considering some of the absolute weird stuff Poeple make for bikes.
