You save time building it then spend way too much time welding all those seams
Mik Szekely 1 day ago
Well done great Fab for a sexy ass bike
Norman May 2 days ago
This is a joke right? Just go an get a bunch of mandrel bend elbows and go from there. Far less welding and a finished look instead of piecemeal.
Arne Meyer 2 days ago
Sorry I didn´t get the point.the ex you put off looked better than the picy one you build 4 us.jessy J do ore not. I got my pipes from old milkfarmtubes.and i am no real builder. Greatings from Hamburg germany.

I like the way this tube was welded with absolutely no back purging. What is this amateur hour ?
Kirsty Sinclair 5 days ago
The Fabrication Series only if you promise to stop tig welding exhaust systems. Douche
The Fabrication Series 5 days ago
You said you did. Troll someone else.
Kirsty Sinclair 5 days ago
The Fabrication Series yeah , like I said I did skip through the video. Don’t get angry with me because your welds look like crap though. Maybe if you weren’t poking your tungsten out so far you wouldn’t get the wandering or whatever is causing the bad finish. But whatever.
The Fabrication Series 5 days ago
So you just felt like trolling the comments? There's one spot where I pulled the purge plug on the last couple welds, but I'm quite certain I explained everything about purging and everything behind it. I'm also very sure I hooked up the lines, plugs, and turned the bottle on too. Did you miss those parts?
Kirsty Sinclair 5 days ago
The Fabrication Series I did to be honest.
G'nad Fly 6 days ago
Cool video. Hey Justin, what size cup are you using in the final weld-up? Does that cup size afford one to use such a gigantic stick-out? Thanks man.
Joe danero 6 days ago
The old exhaust looked better.
Joshua Mills 6 days ago
Off topic but how you like the everlast welders behind you? Ive been looking into them and was wondering on your take on them since you know about them

Think it would have looked better if you had used the cuts instead of the piece of straight pipe. It just throws off the eye

Question do rollcage tubing needs to be purged if i am Working with tig ? Its stainless steel aisi 430
Duke Craig 7 days ago
That short, non stepped and wide open, mid range power killers, but as long as there's people who don't know any better and think that cause it's louder it's running faster there'll always be someone making a fortune.

tuned length is this a show bike running this the combustion chambers will run at different temps might what to run an EGA test on it for proper carbonation they look kool n sound awesome to

cool vid!! ive been a pressure pipe welder for 35yrs mostley pipeline but did a lot of tig over the yrs also, where did you get the tig finger that looks like it would save on the burnt pinkys and who's red chopper was that in the parking lot is it for sale?

I like them alot but i cant justify the price of 20 dollars a cut. Thats absolutely rediculous.

Bottom ends starving for oil. turn idle up!!!!!
Jim Zivny 8 days ago
Looks like a great piece but really expensive, far out of reach for everyone except millionaires. I wonder how the cast would hold up coming off of a turbo after a few years use? If it can tolerate the abuse short runs would make sense.

Yeah but you're not Jesse James

NICE
Scott Bott 8 days ago
What's the point? You can just pipes that look like that. Hmmm
thunder god 8 days ago
Why not just buy the plastic snap together pie cuts there reusable there cheap snap them shape them then messure cut your pipe bend it done.
The Fabrication Series 8 days ago
thunder god Because you wouldn't have pie cuts is you use bends. The point of pie cuts is to keep them pie cuts. It the end user wants bends, they'll use bends instead.
Colin Wood 8 days ago

That lope is sick as F*ck. Perfect timing
Sharky 9 days ago
if 3 pounds is much depends on the application i guess. on a chopper it wont make a difference because the whole thing is just heavy as hell
tat2dlukydevl 9 days ago
Good Idea, but fails on looks and price.
The Carfarmer 9 days ago
I have always thought this 'pie cut' and 'lobster cut' stuff looks like somebody was too ghetto to buy proper fuckin' mandrel bends. The only reason I could see for this product is to mock up - so you can cut some bends to the correct angles.
rogerwalsberg 9 days ago
Another open header on the road. Get a ticket in a car..hate those bikes.
Nec Ozzi 9 days ago
I think it would of looked better without that straight pipe section, you should of used all shogun pieces. Then it would of looked like artwork.
Jarno Saarinen 9 days ago
I don't like the divot on one side looks ugly and at 1 ounce per every 1/2 inch of pipe they are way to heavy!
David Thomspson 9 days ago
I think it looks hideous.Thats why they make piping ells and mandrel bent tubing. But whatever considering some of the absolute weird stuff Poeple make for bikes.
Chris Payne 9 days ago

You can buy a complete V8 header kit from many of the online speed shops in steel for 100 to 200 bucks and have it coated for cheaper. The Shoguns would be really great for the boutique builder.

I would be pissed to get such an ugly exhaust for that much money.
Nick Wells 12 days ago
How much do the shoguns blue after riding for a while? I'm guessing that straight section turns a lot faster than the cuts, but still curious to see how it looks after a few good rides.
Anthony Richards 12 days ago
Hello man, I'm anthony and I really want and dream of learning how to use a tig welding. Take me to training, I will be an excellent student and assistant😎
Louie M 12 days ago
So the money goes to the supplier while the builders loses some cash. Besides that, those scallops just don't cut it for 20 bucks a pop. Imagine the cost for v8 headers, way out of my range for sure. Good video though, something new on the motorsport market.
Moises Real 12 days ago
Great video ! No more tacking. Since it's thicker, does that make it stronger?
snail5341 12 days ago
I hate pie cuts
The Carfarmer 9 days ago
snail5341 - yup. They're something the next generation is gonna' laugh at, like millenials laugh at 'Hammer pants'
peter bukovec 12 days ago
Ha! Great idea, stupid pricepoint. I guess I'll just make my own lipped piecuts on the lathe. They also won't have the scalloped look and will be as light as normal piecuts. Both of these are advantages over the shoguns in my mind.
MrMrsregor 13 days ago
use PET tape to hold them in place for mock up
ShadowOfDeath24 13 days ago
Lol 1200 in just piecuts for 2 tubes. You can rent a tube bender for $75 and end up with the same pipes shape.or you can mock it up and then piecut it up and reweld after you have the profile much easier. Anyone that starts with a big stack of piecuts and builds off that..rather than making an exhaust ouy of tubing AND THEN cutting it into piecut pieces and rewelding it is an idiot
paulbrown357 6 days ago
SOUTHERN PRIDE if u gota ask.lol
SOUTHERN PRIDE 6 days ago
Cost is everything. How much was final cost.
paulbrown357 8 days ago
The Fabrication Series theres alot of stupid people on here, im a 35 yr builder..these save time n bs
The Fabrication Series 12 days ago
I'm really trying to understand what you're saying here. Are you suggesting that someone is an idiot for starting with a stack of pie cuts? I've been doing this for a whole lot of years now and I really can't wrap my head around the concept of bending a system up, then cutting it and welding it back together. That's literally more work than just building is from a stack of cuts. I can't understand how or why someone would be an idiot for doing less work.
Gene Holmes 13 days ago
Great sound and looks better than the old set. but great build and weld on both
Finn's World 13 days ago
i never worked on a bike myself but this is awsome
Lime 13 days ago
Whats the crimped or bowed middle section do? If they had that lip and recessed ends and not the bowed middle section i think i'd like it that way more. Looks cleaner. Okay, i understand possibly why they have the bowed section. Possibly when you weld it it has that WMWMWMWM look.
The Fabrication Series 11 days ago
The scallop is for looks I guess. It could be argued that it's for weight reduction, but you'd have to ask Jesse why he did it haha. I just build with them. I think it would be neat to have the option with or without the scallops but I like the look with them. It's like a signature look where someone knows you have the product.
Billy Beane 13 days ago
I like the thickness but the scallop is offputting. The idea used to be clean bends. Then stainless came and it was clean welded bends. Now I'm not wasting money on these and it's only the look. Chops are about looks and these start reminding me of that crappy flex exhaust tubing that shows up once in awhile.
The Fabrication Series 11 days ago
It reminds me of that flex stuff as well, but the beauty of looks on builds and choppers is that they are ever evolving.
Matthew Randolph 13 days ago
Do they make them in all sizes and no scalps I'm guessing they do, I would like to build my turbo manifolds with them. Where did you say you can order those thro ?
Matthew Randolph 13 days ago
The Fabrication Series kick ass, fast reply too thanks man. I don't care for the scalps but I'm gonna look into it !!
The Fabrication Series 13 days ago
Matthew Randolph Right now there are only a few sizes. Rumor has it more are coming soon. Check out ticonindustries.com

Is the exterior radius/scallop witnessed on the id? How is the lip transition on id?
Boosted & Built Garage 13 days ago
Really cool idea but I could never justify that kind of cost
paulbrown357 8 days ago
Choppers ain't for poor people
MrMrsregor 13 days ago
right, $20 each x 60 of them = $1200.!.
Ken Estelle 13 days ago
You could of fab'ed that simple set of dumps with about 6 bends in the same time you played around with $1200 of legos.
Angry Beard Man 13 days ago
That blue piece of tape. LOL

I dig the blue tape mod on the crankcase cover. :P

Shelvin Singh 13 days ago
Great video as always. I'm still new to TIG and trying to pick up everything I can but one question I've had is, what is that towel/pad you put under your hand when your resting your hand on the workpeice? Is that so you can move around the workpeice in a smooth motion? I've never seen one of those until I started watching your videos. Thanks and keep the videos, I've learned a TON.
Shelvin Singh 13 days ago
The Fabrication Series thank you. Right after asking you I saw Abom79 using it as well haha
The Fabrication Series 13 days ago
Shelvin Singh That's a spark plug boot to keep the heat down. Jody from Welding Tips and Tricks sells the TIG Finger which is more effective. Mine always seem to find their way to other peoples fingers and disappear, so I just use spark plug boots. Nobody steals them.

Troph2 13 days ago
It would be nice if they sold 2-3 pre welded, I imagine 85% of situations could be done with sets of 2-3s, and would reduce the weld time even further.
Jonas Karlstrom 13 days ago
So. did it take 5 hours, 40 minutes and 32 seconds, or less than 3 hours? Just curious how much time you actualy saved :)
SOUTHERN PRIDE 6 days ago
Dam wish I had stupid money.
The Fabrication Series 13 days ago
Jonas Karlstrom welding took over 5 hours. Fab time before welding was less than 3 hours. Total time was just under 9 hours for the entire job.

Good morning, even this good fretting system for exhaust curves. As soon as I have a customer who wants a great service, I buy this friend from Portugal.
Paul Morrey 13 days ago
Thanks Justin
HardwayRanch 13 days ago
I suppose if covered with heat-wrap it will look just fine. But as a bare metal finish I think it looks like crap. I agree that the product cuts labor costs if this is important, but for a hobbyist the cost is outrageous and the product takes away from the creative experience of working from scratch. If left exposed, to me, it looks like a blatant display of money thrown at a project.
Inspironator 13 days ago
Great idea, looks sharp!
Alex Kojima 13 days ago
Cool product and great video. But $20 a pie cut is absolutely ridiculous. The 60 cuts you received would cost me $1200 plus shipping!
The Fabrication Series 11 days ago
I don't know of any off the shelf bender that could bed tight radius thin wall tubing that is cheaper than this stack of shogun cuts. You'd have to use a mandrel bender to get this tight of a bend.
Louie M 12 days ago
ShadowOfDeath24 don't even chop it up to weld. Just sayn
ShadowOfDeath24 13 days ago
It would be MUCH simpler and cheaper to just rent (or hell buy one) a cheap tube bender and bend the exhaust to the final shape, then chop it up and reweld.
The Fabrication Series 13 days ago
Alex Kojima Initial cost is high but offset by reduced fab time.
525medic 14 days ago
