This is scene is heartbreaking, dark, and all in all rather upsetting even when the joker is killed the audience is too upset to enjoy it because the damage is already gone too far

So if Tim drake is the third robin that means joker already killed Jason Todd

We need another Animated series THIS good, Going through Nightwing's apprenticeship, Barbra's partnership, Jasons death and return, Tim's partnership, Stephanie's partnership. etc

Blade of Bloodclan A 100% faithful adaption would be tricky, but a very good risk cure.

I think this is worse than paralyzing Barbara or killing Jason. Really quite dark. I like the darker Batman stories though.

I feel that in both 'Mask Of the Phantasm' and this movie, the Joker actually did defeat Batman in a way. In MotP, he broke up a happy relationship between Bruce and Andrea, caused Andrea to become vengeful and hate-filled, and left Bruce heartbroken at seeing what she'd become - and that was before he even became the Joker! While in RotJ, the Joker not only traumatised Tim for life with his final act (to the point where he was forced to resign from being a hero), but also exposed Batman's secret's, and in the long run, broke up the Bat family, caused Batgirl and Robin to fold and lose their legacies for good, left Batman bitter and lonely, and almost took away his legacy for good too until Terry McGinnis arrived - Not to mention that the Joker's legacy continued after his death with large gangs terrorising Gotham in honour of the Joker and of course the Joker later being 're-born' in Tim's body through the microchip he implanted in Tim's neck, with no heroes to fight crime in Gotham for 2 decades after Bruce hung up his cape for the last time Pretty screwed up eh? He destroys relationships, traumatises a young boy for life (AND turns him him into a monster), breaks up a family and causes Gotham's greatest heroes to end up bitter and washed up

James Michael Harding Which is why Red Hood should have shot the bastard in Under the Red Hood, then all of Batman’s problems would have been resolved.

Originally I considered this mark Hamill's darkest moment as joker. then Arkham knight happened 😳
Tim Zarlenga 8 days ago
You know why Robin was so easily taken out by a mallet? Tim Drake’s signature weapon is a pole arm. A lance of sorts. -(Kinda)- A mallet is a type of hammer, which is classified as an Axe in Fire Emblem. Axes beat Lances.
Simon Davis 7 days ago
Tim Zarlenga true but he had no idea it was coming and he took all that weight directly to his head. It doesn't matter who you are head trauma Is head trauma lol

Personally I prefer the censored Joker death because it has Tim fights the urge to kill the Joker and goes hand to hand like when he was robin. And Joker dying because he slipped and pulled a lever seems ironic.

When Tim starts crying, I can't help but cry as well. It is so sad when you think about everything that happened to him. He was tortured mentally, physically, and emotionally. He was gonna be forced to kill his father figure. Then he breaks through everything and kills the man who caused him so much pain. The nightmare is finally over and there was an overwhelming amount of relief. So overwhelming it was startling and sad.

For me, the most tear jerking, hear breaking, tragic moment is when Tim's laughter slowly morphs into tears at what just happened. This poor child has been tortured, electrocuted, probably beaten and injected with chemicals and Lord know whate else, for almost an entire month; he is mentally, physically, and emotionally abused. and after all that he revealed Bruce's secrets. All of them. To the Joker. And then almost killed him. The man he sees as a father and friend. On top of being under so much stress, he probably is also both terrified and guilty for everything. and they translate all of these emotions SO WELL in SUCH A SHORT TIME. This scene was amazing, but that ending to it. is by far the most memorable to me.

So I'm the only one here that going to ask the question. how did Harley survive the fall?
Louis Rogowski 1 month ago
I honestly though the censored version of this scene, where the Joker gets electrocuted, was a far more terrifying and fitting end.

I honestly think this movie is rather underrated. It may not he as good as TAS but its its own thing
KCSH 1 month ago
I understand Batman wanting to handle looking for Tim practically by himself. However, if there ever was a reason to enlist the help of Justice League – or even just Superman – this most certainly would have been it. But then again, maybe he did. Maybe they weren’t successful. Something to think about.

gonna be honest, beating robin with a crowbar is pretty messed up but this is WAY more disturbing
psychokitty444 2 months ago
While I like the concept of Robin shooting the Joker to save Batman more, I felt the censored version was more atmospheric. The trimmed version of Joker’s monologue, where you only see Batman’s reaction to the torture, was also much more frightening. All just my opinion, though.

You would have been proud to see him so strong, but all too soon the serums and the shocks took their toll. and the dear lad began to share such secrets with me. Secrets that are mine alone to know. Bruce. It's true, Batsy! I know everything. And kinda like the kid who peeks at his Christmas presents, I must admit, it's sadly anti-climactic. Behind all the sturm and batarang, you're just a little boy in a playsuit, crying for mommy and daddy! - Joker
