Is it tastes like mcdonalds a good thing? People only eat there because it's fast and cheap - not because it's the most super delicious food ever.

Yeah, every time I go to Whole Foods they are sold out of the Beyond Sausage. They Have the Beyond Burger but the Sausages be gone.

Sadly for me they use sunflower oil in these burgers 😞 I’m allergic to sunflower seeds and oil. Sucks.

Look how happy that vegan is eating something that tastes just like meat. Hmmm what’s wrong with sticking to vegetables that taste like vegetables? Could it be that the body just desires meat?
Maya Playwright 7 months ago
Had one yesterday at A&W and it tasted amazingly. NO it doesn’t taste anything like a McDonalds burger. It is in a class all by itself, thank you!
Dorothy Jean Thompson 7 months ago
Out of curiosity I tried one. I am not vegan and eat plenty of red meat. I was just curious. It was pretty impressive for not being meat. Tastes kinda like Burger King.

Tried it, it was great.

Beyond meat is trash. It doesn't cook well at all. I rather just eat a spicy bean burger.

I looked in a local chain store. Couldn't find it in the meat department. Only found Gardein in the frozen food section.🐒

I've bought these burgers for the carnivores I know and they all can't believe it's plant based! They say they wouldn't know the difference and will now choose the Beyond Meat Burgers over cruelty as they prefer the taste of the Beyond Meat Burgers more! This is so exciting!!!

A&W launched the Beyond Meat Burger yesterday, and some locations sold-out on the FIRST Day!😃 That must send the message that there’s more of a demand for plant based options than some people think

It tastes ok but it is really expensive. By me it is $14 a pound. An 8 ounce package is $6.99. That contains two four ounce patties. That’s in the USA.

This either sells so quickly or I is hard to find in my area. I saw it once and was going to purchase but had other dinner plans that day so I had decided to get it later. I haven't seen it in the store since. I'll keep searching because I can't wait to try this, everything else I've tried from Beyond Meat has been awesome.
Kent Hanna 8 months ago
We eat them about once a month or so. They are quite meaty but don’t taste like beef, which is fine with me. They are more expensive than other vegan burgers at about 5 bucks for a 2 pack, although I believe sometimes they are 6 bucks for two.

I dont want to eat meat or any product that resembles meat. It was an emotional and spiritual struggle that i was victorious over. So not for me. But enjoy everyone else.

Loved beyond Meat burger , it’s not my everyday choice , but great way to transition to vegan live style , it’s very hard to find them , out of stock everywhere 😢 in very high demand in Miami 😢
Dark Chocopuff 8 months ago
One of the ingredient is compressed coconut oil.Not a matter unless you live in Southeast Asia countries that use monkey slaves to harvest the coconuts. Although I highly doubt this gonna be in Asia market in this short period, with a price that worth 7 normal beef burger.

Beyond burger is no big deal. I find that I don't crave things that look like rotting flesh and the taste is very, whatever. I guess some of us don't need a meat soother. Thousands of other choices.

Plant Based News. you should change the title and take out the part about McDonald’s. As an American I believe that is not good publicity for the Beyond Meat burger. In America McDonald’s burgers are usually laughed at. They are considered to be the lowest quality of burger. They used to make it with very little actual beef in it. It was mostly bread crumbs and who knows what else. I would not put they’re name in your title unless you are doing clickbait. Otherwise that’s a fantastic positive video thank you for the news!🤗👍🏼❣️

When it comes to meat alternatives I usually get to hear two comments from carnists: 1. I'm not gonna turn vegetarian or vegan, since there's just nothing that tastes as good as meat! 2. If you need to have something that looks and tastes like meat, why not just give in and eat the real deal if you want to eat meat so badly? Often, stuff like that comes from the same person in the same conversation. These two statements don't fit together.
Nath Anter 8 months ago
Can Beyond Meat expand overseas, say, Asia?? Like Southeast asia, in particular, you could open a factory in Malaysia or Philippines. Please do. i am a struggling vegan in the Philippines. struggling, becoz it's unavoidable to eat meat or dairy when eating out in most cafeterias and restaurants. i can only go vegan when eating at home.
TrixxyCabbit 8 months ago
no matter how much you try to convince me that this will be exactly like the real thing, my brain will tell me its not. you just can't beat the real deal.
Russell Booth 8 months ago
The black bean burgers that I've been making taste better than even the McDonalds burgers rather like the old style burgers that you can buy from the fish & chip shop. They are full of protein & aren't pumped full of artificial ingredients which actually want to make you eat more food.
Kyle B 8 months ago
That thing is riddled with cancer lmao, you couldn't pay me to eat it.

I bet it costs £5 a pack though. Iceland no bull burgers are £2 and really good so will have to see if its worth it.
Rafik Chbaklo 8 months ago
do you have any idea if this is going to reach middle east? Lebanon in specific, I really want to try this. just for the sake of trying
Rafik Chbaklo 8 months ago
true I heard that too, and yes there is a small movement in lebanon, there are a load of restaurants adding vegan to their menu, and an okay number of vegan places opening lately, especially these last 2 years, and some vegan products are taking place too in the market. so yeah again, I hope it reaches, might take a year. thanks for answering though.
DateYana 8 months ago
Although of course they are making it a point not to market it as a product for vegans. However, vegan friendly places are logically the first to start with.
DateYana 8 months ago
Is veganism big in Lebanon, or even remotely relevant? Something tells me it probably isn't. They probably won't venture into a market that's minimal or unpromising. I did read they are launching in Israel sometime soon though (which as you know is big on veganism), so that should be convenient :)

I've called you and emailed you several times about going international. You can't even supply your product domestically, so why the hell are you so happy about Europe? Go to any Whole Foods in Las Vegas and you won't find any of your stuff there. Is any of your products, in Safeway or Albertsons or Smiths? No, it's nowhere. If you can find Beyond Burgers online, shipping is around $40.

It tastes like McDonald's? Gross, hated their food before I went vegan.
vanilla Hobson 8 months ago
I've been vegan for 4 months and have not been to a McDonald's for 15 years. I was very disappointed with beyond. The texture was exactly how I remember McDonald's. not good at all. I do not remember McDonald's smelling like catfood or having a weird fake beef aftertaste I couldn't get rid of for hours. My recommendation is don't bother. They are overpriced and just plain disgusting. I do not have a weak stomach, but after I ate it I thought I was going to lose the contents of my stomach.
KraftyUk 8 months ago
TwoSnakes OneSword I quit eating McDonald's way before I became Vegan just because of the taste, cheap and nasty.

I love the Beyond Burger and the Impossible Burger, but I really wish they wouldn’t continue to reinforce the horrible myth that meat equals protein and if plants are to have protein it must be as close an imitation of meat as possible. In reality the produce section and the beans and grain aisle are every bit as much a protein section as the animal vivisection aisle is.
TrixxyCabbit 8 months ago
Vivisection is Scientific Fraud I don't exactly despise every animal, just the ones that serve no purpose other than for the comsuming pleasure, you can call me all the names you want, I don't always enjoy the thrill of mocking people unless it was for comedic purposes. I don't have any empathy towards anyone except those close to me, if you saw me on the street, i wouldn't stop for you, I'd continue walking unless you had something of interest, sadly we as humans have something called pride. Thats just life. So yes, I'm a egotistical psychopath according to you. I'm not afraid to admit my humanistic flaws.
Planet of the Vegans 8 months ago
TrixxyCabbit  It's not your brain that's being tricked, it's your dead heart and your inability to feel empathy. You sound desperately addicted to eating corpses. You admitted you were sadistic, now just admit that you don't give a crap about the suffering and torture the animals go through in the slaughterhouse. That you actually despise animals and feel so superior to all of them. Then admit you get a sick thrill out of mocking people who do care about animals. At least be honest about being a trolling psychopath.
TrixxyCabbit 8 months ago
papparocket 8 months ago
I was right, you have absolutely no idea what vegan means. Vegan means that the product contains absolutely nothing that come from an animal, full stop, be that food or clothing or cosmetics. The Beyond Burger contains no muscle or any other tissue from an animal, it doesn't contain any breast milk from any mammal, it doesn't contain any part of any animals eggs, it doesn't contain any bee vomit (i.e. honey). And the will never start to try to slip bits of animal into the product even if it was cheaper. First that would be a violation of several laws and so that would place them in legal jeopardy. Second they also know that they will never sell another thing to any vegan ever again if they ever did this. So no, we aren't still harming animals with the these plant based burgers. What has you so triggered by vegans?
TrixxyCabbit 8 months ago
those who have stopped consuming animal products tend to be strong independent and critical thinkers I somehow find that hard to believe. I'm just as independent and critical thinking as those who stopped consuming, I don't need someone like you to tell me differently, as far as being threatened, yea maybe true but I'm amused more than threatened cause I know it's all just for attention. I've already broken from the cultural norm and do things my way. I'm just as woke as vegans are, animal cruelty has nothing to do with it.

This is great news. Glad to understand the logic cuz forcing me to go near 'meat' after 15 years a vegan was pretty annoying. I'm so turned off to dead animals, but wanted to taste it. It does taste like meat & will really be good for people trying to eat less or no meat.

To make the product better, maybe add iron, zinc and vitamin b12 to the vegan fake meat product. Maybe add some epa/dha omega 3 too.

Probably better to buy beans, peas and lentils in bulk and soak, then boil them yourself.

As a 30+ year vegan, meaty texture is not something I miss or am particularly interested in. However, this is a good thing for those who crave it and the benefits for both the cows and our environment cannot be ignored. Win! Win! I'd say.

fry it a pan of oil will produce oxidized oil, and oxidized oil contribute to atherosclerosis. The best way to consume plant is as raw or minimally processed as possible. I won't be making Beyong Burger my daily staple. Just give me potato, rice, yam, tomatoes, etc. anyday

This burger is great news for animals and for people's health, according to WHO processed meat is one of the main causes of cancer and this burger is an awesome plant based alternative. Keep it up and great work! 🌱👍

The war on plastic is the war on oil and the war on war, there are alternatives with the best being hemp bioplastic but they don't want you using that
Em S 8 months ago
Dark Chocopuff Yes, as AtomicBass said, it has no palm oil. The packaging is made out of plastic (just like 99% of food is packed in plastic) which is a shame, but let's hope that it'll change in the future, maybe once the company has more money to afford something more expensive but more sustainable to the environment. I'm vegan, but I also avoid plastic where I can, so I too don't love the fact that it's a plastic packaging. Have a nice day
AtomicBass 8 months ago
It has no palm oil
Dark Chocopuff 8 months ago
It needs like more 20 different ingredients so wow, right now its market is still low but when targeting for massive production, do you think all the source will be enough and sustainable? My country is the producer of Palm oil. Most of the forest was destroyed for massive production of Palm Oil. You had no idea of how many wildlife animals had gone extinct or lost their home permanently. This never happen in past 15 years ago when palm oil was targeted only for local market(small production) but when plenty food industries start to bloom and other countries start demanding Palm Oil as well, it caused havoc and thus, leading to mass destruction of rainforest to make sure the supply is enough for everyone. Processed food industries(vegan or not) is still as bad as modern animal farms/industries because they use hell lots of resources and with the plastic packaging.Tell me how is that still considered as vegan?
Em S 8 months ago
Laszlo Vegh Do you even know the ingredients list of Beyond Burger ? Here, I'll clear it up for you: it's made out of plants, so: no cholesterol, no acidic animal protein, no saturated animal fat. It is 1000x healthier than a regular meat patty, and, what's most important, it's an alternative sustainable to the environment and no animals had to suffer and be killed for it!

Nothing can compare to the juicy meaty taste of real beef.YUM!.This fake rubber processed synthetic stuff is what vegans eat. It's not real food. This may be why most are emaciated looking yearning for real meat. Sorry, the beyond burger probably will be the next leading cause of cancer. Vegans will be dropping like flies.
