Where in Sac did you find the impossible burger?

I just tried the Beyond Burger at Carl's Jr. and I enjoyed it. There is a pretty big sticker shock at almost $10.00 dollars a hit, but not bad. I also tried the Impossible burger at The Counter restaurant and enjoyed it. That was $14.25 without fries/sides!!! It's a racket for sure, but I am a food slut and would eat both! ;) I am glad to see the Beyond Burger is sold commercially, as that would be more competitively priced. I discovered that the Beyond Burger has eggs thus if you're vegan, this would not be an option. :-( Oh, I'm in California and we don't have them, (WAH!) but White Castle has the Impossible Burger and I'm totally jealous!!

The Impossible Burger resembles meat quite closely in some ways, and the Beyond in others.but overall, I prefer the Beyond. First, because Impossible went with a go-to-market strategy that meant their product couldn't be used at home. If I want an impossible burger, I have to pay roughly 16 to 18 dollars at places like Gott's or The Counter - and none of them beat the kind of burger I can make at home. Second, I don't like that a company making a vegan product chose to experiment on animals to get there (and I'm not vegan). Finally, I don't like that they skipped FDA approval on soy leghemoglobin for a few years. Even now that it's finally approved, there are no long-term human studies on it. The impossible burger uses ey proteins produced from genetically modified microorganisms - there's 40 in the impossible burger, none of which have been studied in the human body. I have friends who sometimes have slight stomach issues after eating it. That said, it's tasty. But simply put, the Beyond Burger doesn't have all these questionable elements, is cheaper and readily available at supermarkets, and I think also gets the edge on taste. Coupled with a brioche bun, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and a homemade version of Big Mac sauce, and you're golden.

Why would they make plant based food that tastes like meat for people that do not want to eat meat ?

Impossible is really good. Tastes like meat (better IMHO) beyond burger was disgusting. Horrible flavor.

i dont give a fk if its meat or not what the burger good and did you have to pay $10 - 20 for it = ripp off you should be able to feed people a burger for $2-5 if its not meat

Only had the beyond burger before and that one definitely doesn't taste or look like a meat burger. It was good though, but it definitely tasted like a veggie burger. Looking forward to trying the impossible burger, it's supposed to be a lot more meat like.

Oh, yeah, Beyond Burger is really great! I haven't had the Impossible Burger yet, but I am going to seek it out.

Come on! PRICE! They put those burgers next to hamburgers the same size and packaging at my grocery store. The real burgers were less than half the price of the Beyond burger. A the flavor wasn't that much different from the boca burger or garden burger, etc. The product has a L O N G Way to go to win over regular customers. And I'm not rich so I'll buy these once and awhile (once or twice a month). I would like to see it sold thawed as loose product so I can make chop suey, put it on my pizza, or make meatballs when ever I want to.

It wasn't that long ago when fast food chains were outtedfor blending TVP and oatmeal to call it beef. A REAL beef burger would be more of a headline. This news is proof that peoplle who are not exposed/taught from/by the past are condemwd to repeat it.

Meant to say we tried the fast food restaurant that has Beyond Burgers and they tastes very weird and off putting. Had Impossible burgers many places now and they were so good - even chewed. Like meat.

All you people complaining about not like the Beyond Burger because it smells --yeah, it smells when it's raw, but if you cook it right, it no longer smells, and it tastes great. It's dumb to throw out a great product just because you might have to handle 1 minute of an unpleasant smell.

IMPOSSIBLE BURGER has MEAT, HUMAN MEAT. No animal. It's plant based but not all of it. Why would you ever believe MSM reporting that it's vegan. It's not vegan. Impossible Meat across street from Planned Parenthood Silicon Valley Amazing Polly discovered it here you go. WARNING DO not consume this BURGER. There is a hidden spiritual war, how to stop the ascension? Turn Vegans into Cannibals without them even knowing. They are trying to stop the higher vibration ascension. Cannibalism is the lowest demonic vibrations.

I buy the Beyond Burger because it's available in stores and cost efficient but WAY prefer the Impossible Burger. Beyond smells like dog food to me, so I REALLY have to doctor it up to make it palatable. Truth, if I wasn't trying to hit my Vegan Keto macros, taste wise, I would much prefer a homemade Black Bean Burger.😊

Was this video sponsored by Beyond Burger coz I've had both and Impossible Burger is way more convincing meat substitute. Everything else is a veggie burger. Stop waving those beyond burger packages. The only reason (at least the main one) that I would consider eating either of these meat substitutes is because of the hopes of reducing fat and calories. If they are the sames as meat, but cost more, what's the point?

I have tasted the impossible burger and it is gross! Didn’t taste anything like meat. And, you can’t use them to replace meat because they only come in patty form. No steaks, filets or any other cuts!

Good job but it's a little hard to get someone to judge how close to meat the taste is, when you don't eat meat and know what it tastes like.

The developers of the Impossible 🍔,found a way to mimic animal muscle and tissue. Hence, enhanced texture. Further, they found a way to develop the Heme ,or hemoglobin molecule on this product!!! I love love love impossible burget!!! Beyond burger crumbled apart in my well oiled skillet,

I would agree. I don't eat out often, but whenever I do the first thing I notice is the overuse of salt. When you have been cutting use of salt for years in your personal cooking habits then it REALLY becomes noticeable.

I get that these companies are really going after the World's population of omnivores (versus vegetarians, strict or otherwise) so I get they want to lure them over with similarities to a staple with which they are accustomed; however, The Impossible Burger has 17g of fat and a whopping 13g of saturated fat. That means 65.52% of this product is from fat. The Beyond Burger's numbers LOOK better at 20g of fat and 5g of saturated fat but they're not. It comes in as 66.67%. Also, no one talks about the sodium either at 570 and 380, respectively. Those who are truly health conscious should look at these as a 'treat' a couple times a year and stick to whole plant foods. These are more like vegan junk food (regardless of whether you are vegan or not!) and not the weekly staple as many seem to tout them as.

I have had the Impossible Burger at Fatburger and Beyond Burger at Carl's Junior. I have had each more than once in Los Angeles. For me the Impossible Burger is noticeably better but I acknowledged that this may well be the difference in how it is prepared. Fatburger may well do a better job in preparing the produce. In Fatburger's case I feel I am not missing out on any taste vs their regular burgers (or at least much). In Carl's Junior I felt it was more of a novelty and not worth the extra charge vs a regular burger (in fact, not really worth a discount vs the regular burger). The Impossible Burger is the winner. at least the way that Fatburger makes it.
