People who eat meat always say it tastes better but meat doesn’t taste like much of anything unless you season it really.
Abovepine 13 days ago
This comment section is full of people saying why would vegans want to eat something that taste like meat. Most people are not born vegan thus being used to the taste of meat. If someone becomes vegan for their health, animals for the environment they often miss the taste but do not want to contribute to the horrible industry's. so they make plants taste like with seasoning or whatever bottom line is if something tastes just like meat but no sentient animal had to die for it WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU NOT EAT IT !!

+Flow Goi fair enough. I'm just going off of experience, when i was in college everybody I knew watched it and only about 3 of them were car enthusiasts. I suppose the same way everybody watches X-Factor, doesn't mean they are enthusiasts for all the different genres of music etc that they are listening to on it, or even music in general.
Flow Goi 19 days ago
YourPalHDee That's a really stupid thing to say. People who are not into cars don't generally watch car shows or make the majority of its viewership. And a lot of people find him funny.
YourPalHDee 19 days ago
+Flow Goi I'll agree he knows a lot about cars. But most people who watch Top Gear don't really care about cars. It's like a mainstream celebrity guest show. He's definitely not funny to the value of being famous for it in my opinion. His sense of humour is something you could find from about 1/3 of middle aged men in any pub in the UK

Viewers please note: doesn't really matter in the end does it. Yes I'm sure if it was fresh out of the kitchen it would taste better. However having had vegetarian burgers (Not that I wanted to, I was forced) they don't taste as good. Vegetables are not going to replace meat, meat is NEEDED for a healthy diet. We've come this far in history eating meat why stop now? It's how life goes.
Michael Engelmann 20 days ago
My aunt has bought and made, I think turkey burgers, they taste good but they don’t even compare to a fast food burger. There is a significant difference in taste, it does taste healthier for you but my question is is your vegan why do you want to mimic eating a burger?🤔

Well you just made that scenario Mr. Can't even tell which burger is beef or plant based. Smh dont tell anyone how to live their life veganism is a way of life to not cause unnecessary harm, for better health & environment ect. what an Imbecile moment for this guy.
FrecklyCash1488 22 days ago
Veganism can't exist without turning meals into science projects.
Michael James 22 days ago
The comments crack me up. Vegetarians never said meat didn't taste good. And most vegetarians grew up eating meat. So when they become veg, of course they crave those familiar tastes, but they just don't want to contribute to what they view as unnecessary killing. Plus it's not healthy. That's it. Period. Faux meats taste better as time goes on and they are usually much better healthwise. Wanna eat meat, eat meat. Wanna eat veg, eat veg. Shut the fuck up already.
Michael The Sociopath 22 days ago
The reason why some vegetarians/vegans crave the meat taste is a simple psychological explanation: we desire thing things that gave us pleasure growing up. You can’t simply forget the taste of foods. This isn’t a difficult concept to grasp. Only, they value their own ideology/morals over simple tastebud pleasure. So why not try and make a plant-based burger that ticks both boxes? Ideology/morals AND taste? That’s how you get this burger. derp.

I'm a meat eater, but if we can get the taste of meat without having to butcher and raise in horrid conditions countless animals and ontop of that improve the environment since livestock farming is a huge factor in destroying the environment. Then really what logical reason is there for not making this transition other than our egos

Lol, how selfish of vegetarians to create a burger not made of real meat! Yeah because it is so unselfish to eat real meat considering all the pain and suffering the animal went through or the immense negative environmental impact it has on our environment. Wow vegetarians should be ashamed of themselves, how dare they they try and create products which taste similar to meat so that maybe more people who realize the negative impact eating meat could be encouraged to eat less meat. Damn those vegetarians, a real parasite on our society and well being! Lol

Is not that all the vegeterians don't like the taste of meat.some of them love it. It's just the moral aspect of eating meat. Imagine being turned into a sausage by a violent alien species that would treat Us like cattle. Not to mention the mass production of meat, cows and pigs and chickens dont live on a farm anymore. They are locked up in cages, shitting on top of themselves unable to turn around.

I eat meat and sometimes i don't. I don't make a religion out of it and i have eaten enough vegi burgers as well. I like most of them. Its nice to eat something else and not always the same, independend how good that beefburger tastes. Also if you eat really cheap, i often enough take the vegi option as i'm not always trusting a kitchen to buy good meat and prepare it well. I think kthat it is easier with vegies.
MrZancruz 23 days ago
I say the samething about substituting anything for something else, especially if it's not for medical reasons. Using plant base instead of animal or turkey as an alternative to red meat is all disgusting.
Alisia Lopez 23 days ago
MrZancruz my family only buys from local butchers that raise their meat “humanly”. I would rather make myself throwup than eat a fast food burger lol. But I tried the beyond burger at Carls jr. That’s definitely more of a “fast food” tasting burger. Especially with the sauce and cheese they use it gives it the nostalgic cj flavor I remember. (I grew up fat and eating fast food 😂😂) the impossible burger taste more like a restaurant style, unseasoned and unprocessed burger. If you eat it there’s no way you’d be like, “.wait a minute, this isn’t meat!” But after if someone tells you it’s vegetarian you’ll be like, huh there was a little something missing. Can’t really explain it but it is VERY good. All that aside, I have really cut down on my meat, dairy, and super processed junk food consumption because it backs me up. I think it’s good to be open minded and mix things up.
MrZancruz 23 days ago
+Alisia Lopez Oh what kind of meat burgers do you eat and do you normally eat beef? Cuz the average person eats a lot of crap Burgers, like McDonald's, Burger King or some other fast-food joints. IF you want good burgers, you need to find some local spot where they do fresh beef Burgers Pub or Smash Style. Beef has a very unique taste that at the moment has not been duplicated by using other plant/meat substitutes.

To be fair, meat doesn't come in the form of a burger. Now if you tell me that you want a vegetarian steak, then we'll have problems. As far as processed foods go like nuggets, sausages or hell even black pudding or any form that isn't the original is safe grounds for vegetarian variations.

I was a vegetarian for a bit but my body craves fish. I can go a happy long time without land meat but without fish, I get very unwell. The thing is, most vegetarians grew up with hearty meat and there are few ways to get that sensation from tofu or beans. Plus, soybeans and avocado are as harmful to the environment and humanity as beef. New ways to produce food = more options to take a healthier, less brutal route.

Does vegan know that they kill more animal than meat eater?to have all fields of veg they need to clean up all the mammal species that are feeding up with that veg and these mammal that can harm the veg, second of all we re making competition of food source with herbivores.third plant stores co2 once cut off the co2 stored release so what about that
Alisia Lopez 23 days ago
Alan Shen you don’t use punctuation. Your shit is too annoying to read, sorry.
Alan Shen 23 days ago
+Alisia Lopez what I'm trying to say basically is the vegan idea doesn't help the animal species of survival, ofc there will be ethical issues on meat eating, but if you think deeply vegan is also killing animals in a different way, I just hope people stop pointing fingers, the thing about killing animals is not that as human race are like cold blood animal, is that we have too many population and we have so many needs which in results more animals gets killed, it's because of the growth of population that cause all these ,what you think these pork or chicken we eat everyday come from they re mostly genetically identified(faster growth of the animal, the same thing apply to the plant) especially in the US, where the real organic food are so expensive.
Alan Shen 23 days ago
+Alisia Lopez what do you think about if a person that supposed to eat 1percent of the portion and if you re vegan you gotta get 2 or 3 percent which increase the need of more plants need to be cultivated, in the result won't be enough in the end for human(which promotes the idea of genetically modified veg or meat) and lower in biodiversity because the farmer who plants the specific planet gotta have to erase the whole land that has reached the climax community with different biodiversity and make it in to one or two of plant species land
Alan Shen 23 days ago
+Alisia Lopez what about the herbivores that actually eat the veg?so we are actually competing with the herbivores on the food resources, idk what you don't understand, let's say you gotta plant some eggplant, ok so in the field the farmer will do whatever to make sure the quantity will be enough, which means he has to kill the animals that tried to harm the plant, and if you know anything about genetically modified food?that's a because of the need of the population on the planet, they put chemicals that promote faster growth.and funny that if you think my English is shitty you really have a high opinion of yourself being really dumb and not having enough knowledge to understand, delete your fb and grab a god damn book
Alisia Lopez 23 days ago
Alan Shen your English is pretty shitty so I don’t really understand what you’re trying to say but we feel more crops to livestock than we consume. So if we didn’t eat meat we’d actually need to produce less crops. So whatever you’re attempting to say is incorrect

Some vegans like the taste of meat but theyre not selfish to eat the real animal
Origami Chik3n 17 days ago
+Duey What you chose to ignore (whether it was deliberate or out of sheer ignorance) is that not that long ago humans claimed that animals don't have consciousness and can't feel pain. When i was a kid, i was told that catching fish is ok because fish don't feel pain. Over decades that perception changed. And now scientists are researching how plants exchange information and make decisions based on different conditions and exhibit other signs of intelligence. Just because you think of yourself as a master of universe that has the right to judge which little life forms under your rule deserve humane treatment and which ones don't doesn't mean you are. But i love how you consider that everything you are unwilling (or incapable) of comprehending is being said just to be a dick. That's why we are vegans because we care for life forms (but only those we as superior beings deem worthy) argument is a steaming pile of hypocritical BS. As for me, i chose to treat all life forms that have two or less eyes and four or less limbs equally - i eat them all. I deem others too yucky to eat.
Duey 22 days ago
+Origami Chik3n This isn't an argument, sorry! Only things that have consciousness can feel pain, and plants lack consciousness or a nervous system. There is no way you believe what you're saying and you're just saying it to be a dick. You cannot possibly believe that the life of cows and plants have the same value. Do some research on the meat industry please, instead of randomly claiming that vegetarians are hypocrites because they eat living plants.
Origami Chik3n 23 days ago
+Cillian Murphy So you're dividing life forms into ones that are worth protecting and ones that are not. Interesting. Also, when you grow up and start attending kindergarten, you will learn that there are species other than cows in Kingdom Animalia.

I think it is deeper than that. It is not for vegetarians (because that doesn't make sense). *It is meant to be for meat eaters! They will replace beef with veggie version of burger, coz it will be cheaper, but more profitable for companies. If ppl wouldn't distinguish then why not replace meat with cheaper equivalent* And that is for me what's happening here. I hate ppl who decide what is better for me to eat. If I want veggie burger I'll ask,but don't force me to eat it if I want meat.
